Alcohol –           4.6%

Origin –              South Woodham Ferriers, Essex

Style –               Golden Ale

Season –           Spring

The name Brewers Gold conjures up so many fond memories, and hearing it’s on at the local ale house leaves me palpably excited!

Claiming to be a light, thirst quenching beer it doesn’t do itself justice!

The first thing that hits you with this ale is just how much flavour they manage to cram into it. It literally bursts with fruity, citrusy flavours. Sweet, Zesty, but wonderfully balanced, and dangerously easy drinking.

Light, golden and lightly carbonated, it’s wonderfully refreshing, and quaffable.

A dry, bitter-sweet and lingering finish leaves you longing for the next swig.

Good god…    Thanks for BG

Erdinger – Weissbier

Brewery –          Erdinger

Beer –              Weissbier

Alcohol –          5.3%

Origin –            Erding, Germany

Style –             Wheat Beer

Season –         Summer

Wheat Beers always look mouthwateringly drinkable and this is no exception. Pale, Cloudy, and lively with a voluptous bold white head.

Sweet and Orangey on the nose but not as floral or citrusy as other continental and American wheat beers; it’s flavour is more subtle and understated.

It’s styled more like a cider, airy with a white wine zestiness and a dry crisp finish.

Brewery –           Bristol Beer Factory

Beer –                  Bristol Hefe

Alcohol –           4.8%

Origin –              Bristol, Avon

Style –                Wheat Beer

Season –            Summer

Although this beer claims to be an out and out Wheat beer, I think it’s more of a cross between a wheat beer and a good old English Golden ale.

It’s golden orange amber colour, cloudy, with a thick white head. Sweet, Hoppy yet light on the nose, with a resiny pine freshness.

Like a typical Wheat Beer, it is citrusy, zesty, and vibrant, with tropical fruit notes, but like an English golden ale it has a satisfying bitter dry finish.

Flavoursome, Fun, and Fruity.. Perfect for Saturday Summer afternoon Session!

York Guzzler is one of those beers that is a firm favourite with most people who imbibe this most glorious of ales.
